Story 15

Like any other girl, Sweta had her honeymoon extensively planned. Months before the wedding she had made all the bookings and ensured that everything was arranged according to the way she wanted it to be. After 8 years of courtship, Himanshu and Sweta finally tied the knot. And within 6 hours of their wedding reception, they found themselves waiting at the Mumbai International Airport for their flight to Zenith Island. Himanshu had no idea about the existence of such a place and on repeated enquiry, got nothing but a wink from Sweta.

As they boarded the flight, Himanshu was a bit skeptical to see that there were hardly any co-passengers. But then, who would have heard of such a place in the first place. As the flight took off, Sweta wrapped her arms around Himanshu's and whispered, "The journey begins honey." Himanshu blushed.

To Himanshu's surprise, Zenith Island turned out to be a place as beautiful as those mentioned in children's fairy tale. Some thousand kilometers to the north of Guyana Island, this island has not yet been exposed to the world tourism.Hence on their way to the hotel they hardly came across any foreign tourists. The beach looked beautiful in the moonlit night and Himanshu's desire to see Sweta walking down the beach, wearing her beautiful white dress rekindled his passion. He firmly held Sweta's hand and whispered, "Thank you baby." And Sweta couldn't be happier.

On entering the hotel, they were greeted by woofs as four lovely puppies came running to them. Sweta's eyes glowed as she saw Himanshu on his knees fondling those puppies. She was ecstatic as her wish to surprise Himanshu was turning out to be true.  As they entered the room they saw a candle light dinner waiting for them, a complimentary setup from the hotel. Words failed Himanshu. He never dreamt of having such a grand honeymoon and most importantly never expected Sweta to plan out something so meticulously. They placed the order and decided to get freshened up.

The delicacies were served in the traditional fashion. Everything was going on smoothly till they found the shape of Pupapoo, the Zenith Island special dish, to be weird. It looked like a small roasted heart. Himanshu was curious and he asked the waiter what it was. The waiter replied, "Pupapoo is roasted puppy, Sir. In fact, you just played with one of them before you entered. This is a traditional Zenith Island food. Puppies are our chickens."
